About Malte Roesner
Since his operatic debut in 2005, Mr. Roesner has sung more than fifty roles on stage. Aside from his vocal capacity, his stage presence and versatility have received notable praise from both the audience and the press. In addition to his stage work, he makes regular appearances in concert and is an avid lied recitalist.
Roles to be undertaken in the 2015/2016 season by Malte Roesner at the Brunswick National Theater include: Edmund Bertram in the first German production of Jonathan Dove’s Mansfield Park after the novel of the same name by Jane Austen, for which he wrote the German libretto, the blacksmith et.al. in the revival of Peer Gynt by Werner Egk and Marullo in Verdi’s Rigoletto.
